Warranty Updated as of 2025

KieferBilt expressly warrants to you, the original purchaser of a KieferBilt trailer, that on the date of purchase, the product was free from defects in the composition of materials and workmanship.

Structural Warranty

This structural warranty consists of the following parts:

  • Side rails attached to the floor
  • Floor cross members
  • Pull-type hitch/gooseneck steel frame structure

Items such as roof, doors, windows, ramps, stall dividers, flooring, axles, axle subframes, couplers, and anything not expressly stated are not included in the structural warranty. Further exclusions apply, and these are detailed in Section 9.6 below.

9.2 Warranty Duration and Notice Requirements

  • This warranty will not extend beyond the warranty period and will be initiated upon the date of sale to the original purchaser or 18 months after the trailer manufacture date, whichever occurs first.
  • In the event of a sale after the 18-month period from the manufacturer date, the warranty will be activated at the 18-month date, and the remaining balance of warranty coverage will apply from that date forward.

Coverage Periods:

  • 8 Year Structural Coverage on Deluxe II Trailers, Genesis, and Freedom models.
  • 3 Year Structural Coverage on EXLA, Evolution, Kargo King Enclosed Steel Framed trailers & Kruiser & car trailers.
  • 1 Year Components Coverage for all models.
  • 1 Year Leakage Coverage in the dressing room only where applicable.
  • 1 Year Leakage Coverage on Kargo King trailers.
  • 90 Day Structural Coverage on commercial use trailers (contract for hire), regardless of model.

The original purchaser must provide an authorized KieferBilt dealer prompt notice of all defects. Upon receipt of such notice, the dealer will notify the original purchaser of their intentions to repair the trailer. KieferBilt suggests that the original purchaser take the trailer to the dealer where it was purchased, though any authorized KieferBilt dealer can perform the work.

There is an approval process for repairs; therefore, any repair costs incurred by the original purchaser prior to notification of an authorized KieferBilt dealer may not be covered.

9.3 Warranty Transfer

The basic warranty is nontransferable.

9.4 Remedies Available From KieferBilt

In the event of a defect in material or workmanship covered by this warranty, KieferBilt, at its sole discretion, will:

  • Reimburse the original purchaser by paying a sum not exceeding the price charged by KieferBilt for such work.
  • KieferBilt may, at its option, require the defective part or trailer to be returned to a factory location for repairs. Any transportation costs to or from the dealer, factory, or authorized service center for inspection or repair are the sole responsibility of the trailer owner.

The obligations stated above are the sole and exclusive remedies available from KieferBilt. KieferBilt will not be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages. KieferBilt reserves the right to make design changes or add/improve its products without being obligated to make similar changes to products covered by the warranty.
